Living the Dream

I own a travel agency and have had the pleasure to travel the world. I book vacations for thousands of people every year and when I began my business I decided that the best way to sell the sizzle is to be part of the sizzle myself. I’ve been a part of New Year's Eve parties in London, Paris, and Hong Kong. For as much as I’ve seen of this world there is still a whole lot more to see.

Of all the places I’ve been I would have to say that the London nightlife is by far the best in the world. Paris puts on a pretty good show as well but nobody knows how to party like they do in England. I’ve spent many weeks over the years in the heart of the city of London and plan to return this summer.

Owning a travel agency people come to me wanting recommendations about where they should go in the world for their one-of-a-kind vacations. How can I sell them a fabulous trip to Tokyo if I’ve never been there myself? Or how can I tell them the most awesome place to visit is Paris in the spring? How can I convey how great the nightclubs in London are if I haven’t experienced them myself? I feel it is very important to be able to express how wonderful each of these places is by my own firsthand knowledge.

No matter where it is in the world that I have traveled I’m always ready to see something else just as amazing as the last place I’ve seen. From bullfights in Spain to the London nightlife, there is nothing more amazing than visiting places others only dream about. There are so many wonderful places to see and just not enough time to see them all.

Get Her Nightclub Look: Nicole Richie

Before Nicole Richie was the world's most child-like mother, she was an absolute party animal! Well known for hitting the town with Paris Hilton, Nicole's nightclub look was fun, yet refined. If you want a sexy yet elegant Nicole Richie look to hit the London nightclubs with this weekend, read on for some inspiration!

In this pic, Nicole is at a (high profile) party in Las Vegas. It's a more recent pic, and the flowing top is most likely to hide and bubba-flubber on her belly … not that she is particularly big, by any means! This is a good tactic for new mums who want some confidence to go out and have fun again - cover-up on the top half, and go tight on the bottom, like Nicole.
This picture of Nicole Richie at the opening party for the D&G boutique in LA is getting on a little in age, now, but what a smooth style! The turtleneck and three-quarter sleeve top is great for fresh spring and autumn nights on your way to London nightclubs, and despite the short skirt she's sure to stay warm with what look like 200 denier tights on! The whole outfit has a sort of ballerina flavour, with the bun, the short skirt and the sleekness of it all. Great one to copy!
In this pic Nicole was out to dinner with her boyfriend - but this would be an awesome nightclub look to copy! What a top - plenty of Hollywood tape needed, but if you're looking to turn heads at your London nightclub, this is the sort of top to do it in. The head scarf is not only a very cool accessory, but a great way to keep your hair out of your face while dancing. White draws plenty of attention under blacklights … so overall, this outfit is made to be looked at!

Makeup tips for Nightclubs in London - 4 Big Tips for Luscious Lashes

At London nightclubs, you often won’t be able to hear much of what people are saying… and I suppose that's why we go! However, it does mean that people will be looking at your face a lot more than usual, using your expressions and body language to try and figure out what you’re saying. And that means that you'll really want to look your best! If you have always battled with lash makeup, fighting clumping, odd colours and running, we have some top tips today for creating sexy, stay-put eyelashes for your London nightclub adventures!
Vaseline
Heaps of gals swear by this one, as a conditioner and protectant. If you use mascara a lot (and therefore makeup remover a lot), putting Vaseline on your eyelashes at night, and a tiny bit before you apply mascara, helps protect them from all that use and abuse. If you work outside and get a lot of sun, this also helps protect against UV damage.
Separate and curl
It's not something that you'd want to do every day, but if you separate and curl your eyelashes before a night out in a London nightclub, your makeup will look better for longer, as well as coming off more easily. Separate them with a toothbrush, and curl them with a good quality eyelash curler.
Good quality mascara
Blush, face powder, and body glitter … these can all be bought cheaply with relative safety. Mascara that doesn’t make you wince when you look at the price tag, though, is never worth it! Cheap formulations inevitably clump or leak, no matter how carefully you apply them. Just don't do it! Buy a small bottle to minimize waste.
Apply falsies
These can look a bit tarty in the cold light of day … but if you can't wear false eyelashes to a club, where can you wear them? If you can't manage to get them on, get a make up artist to help you the first couple of times until you get the hang of it. You'll soon be one of the sexiest non-speaking conversationalists at your London nightclub!
