Get Her Nightclub Look: Jennifer Aniston

She certainly knows how to get guys to fall for her … she was the first to break the code of Friend-ship in her most famous series, getting together with Ross instead of remaining just friends. But does she know how to party like it's 1999? In fact, she blends the two perfectly, with a sweet girlish charm in her nightclub and party outfits that really breaks the mould. If fishnets aren’t your thing, but you still want to look hot at your London nightclub, take a leaf out of Jennifer Aniston's book.

Jen's a quiet girl and rarely seen clubbing -- most of here evening wear photos come from award ceremonies and her film premieres. There is no reason you can’t apply them to your own London nightclub weekends, though, especially when the dresses are as versatile as this one. The silver number is from the women in film awards, and shows off what she wants to nicely!
This photo was taken at the Oscars … and it seems that the longer your dress, the more chance you have of winning there. While you won’t want to go floor-length for your London nightclub adventures, you can copy her style by going maxi with some nice high heels. A full skirt usually looks awesome flipping around the dance floor, and catches so much more attention because it is unusual.
This part of Jennifer Aniston's birthday party doesn’t look much like a nightclub -- but I guarantee that it was all tea and candles, like in this shot! The sleeveless top she's wearing will translate perfectly to a dance floor, and having a bright or patterned bottom half with a plain top half (like this top) is both fashionable and individual.
When you’re in Paris, especially for a premiere, you better be lookin' good! For nightclubs, the day-mixed-with-nighttime look goes down surprisingly well. Go strappy rather than capped sleeves in your London nightclub though, and leave a jacket at the door.

London Nightclub Safety Talk: Alcohol Poisoning

When you're in the hot, sticky environs of a London nightclub, everyone is dancing and having a good time, and people are shouting rounds it's easy to lose track of how much you've drunk … let alone look out for your friends. Yet a basic knowledge of alcohol safety should be etched into your mind so firmly that there is no amount of alcohol that can pry it loose. Alcohol poisoning can and does happen -- we look at how to recognize the symptoms in your friends, how to prevent it occurring and what to do at your London nightclub if you suspect someone really has drunk too much.
Preventing alcohol poisoning
The only sure way to prevent alcohol poisoning is not to drink so much that you feel out of control. However, it can be difficult to keep your head on straight when everybody is partying around you in your London nightclub. Here are some tips for keeping yourself, and your friends, under control:
  • Alternate each alcoholic drink with a non-alcoholic one. Mocktails are a great option -- all the fun, none of the danger
  • Make sure you eat something before going out -- this will slow the absorption of alcohol by your body, and ensure you have enough time to recognize how drunk you are getting.
  • Even if you aren’t driving, try to have a designated sober person at your London nightclub to keep an eye on everyone's safety.
  • Go to the toilets in pairs. It often happens that a victim chokes on their own vomit, so institute a buddy system to prevent this.
  • Don’t go outside for extended periods while drunk. Alcohol stops you maintaining your body temperature properly, and hypothermia can set in without the affected person realizing.
Symptoms of alcohol poisoning
All cases of intoxication are cases of alcohol poisoning, to a milder or more sever degree. However, you should be worried about your friends if:
  • They are vomiting uncontrollably
  • They have seizures
  • They are taking fewer than eight breaths per minute
  • Their breathing is irregular, with 10 seconds or more between breaths
  • Their skin looks blue and is very cold
  • They have passed out and cannot be awakened
When you can’t just sleep it off
Someone with alcohol poisoning may choke on their own vomit; their breathing or heart beat may simply slow down so much that it stops; they may die of hypothermia if the room temperature is not high enough; they may develop brain damage through severe dehydration by vomiting.
Should you tell someone?
Yes -- always. Alcohol poisoning is frequently fatal. If you can’t use your phone in a London nightclub, look for a bouncer or staff member to help. Don’t play with your friends' lives for the fear of getting into trouble. Medical confidentiality means that there are usually no legal consequences. Anyway, wouldn’t you much rather your friend be in a little trouble, than not around at all?

Get Her Nightclub Look: Rihanna

She's more infamous than famous at the moment -- but she hasn't lost a whit of her sex appeal, beautiful voice and gorgeous charm. Rihanna is a style setter -- she has her own individual mix of confident androgyny and hot femininity. Here we look at some of Rihanna's nightclub outfits that you can copy this weekend at your London nightclub of choice.

We just mentioned her individual blend of clothing styles -- and no one outfit sums them up better than this one! An ultra mini paired with a biker-style jacket … warm, yet cool and very hot all at the same time. Rihanna was attending a Versace party in this outfit -- a similar vibe to many of your more relaxed nightclubs in London.

Rihanna was hitting the town in New York for this photo, checking out a few different clubs in the night. Her choice of black and white was a smart one -- minimalist and suitable for different venues, yet very sexy. If you're doing the rounds of a few nightclubs in London this weekend, pay attention to that colour combo.
Rihanna's choice of black dress against dark skin and black hair helps her blend in. If you aren't feeling like being the star of the show, but want to let your hair down and have a good time anyway, Rihanna's strategy at the Jingle Bell Ball in this pic is a good one to copy.

Rihanna is in full effect for this traditional nightclub outfit shot. A beautiful summer look that is perfect on plenty of different complexions and colour tones; electric blue suits blondes and black-haired girls, as well as anyone with blue eyes. The dress is tight, but not painted on -- it gives her enough room to bop those feet and swing her arms round a little! If you're a dancer, not a wallflower, take note of this dress' proportions for your next London nightclub outing.

Old-Skool Hip-Hop at London Nightclubs

Chloe is hosting a series of "Cool Pop at Chloe" nights, awesome fun for those of you who don’t like to get too intense, and love to be able to sing to what the DJ's playing after a few drinks! If you love something with a beat and verbal gymnastics … then get out your old LPs of these artists and practice for your Saturday night at Chloe nightclub in London!
Run-DMC
So much sampling, so many cool rhymes, so many classics. You'll get bonus points if you can pick your favourite from Jam Master Jay, DMC and DJ Run and just spit their lyrics. 'It's Like That', 'It's Tricky' and 'Walk This Way' with Aerosmith were Run-DMC's most popular singles and most likely to be played at old-school hip-hop nights.
The Fat Boys
Not many of you will recognize the band members -- Buff Love, Biz Markie and Razhel, among others -- but most of you will be bopping along to 'Krush Groovin', skyrocketed on the U.S. R&B charts and was referenced by the Beastie Boys in 'Body Movin'.'
LL Cool J
The cool J might have gone the way of Ice T and moved from rap into cop-show acting, but that doesn’t take anything away from his old-school hip-hop tracks that London nightclubs could be playing. Sing along to 'Hey Lover' with your girlfriends, and know why he called himself 'Ladies Love Cool James'!
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
If you encounter a DJ with a big fat thing for old-school hip-hop at your London nightclub, you should get treated to some LPs of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. You'll recognize 'The Message', which peaked at No. 4 on the charts, beating out the Sugar Hill Gang's 'The Lover in You' by some 51 spots!
The Sugar Hill Gang
I know you're all hot for Grandmaster Flash now -- but the Sugar Hill Gang were still one of the most formative and influential old-school hip-hop bands of last century. You might also recognize big tracks from them played at nightclubs in London's Cool Pop and Old Skool Hip Hop nights, like '8th Wonder' and 'Apache' … and the big one, of course, 'Rapper's Delight'.

Seven Club Classix Tunes You'll be Hearing at London Nightclubs

You'll know most of these songs … even if you don't recognize them by name, if you're a club-bunny (or just a gal who goes to clubs!), you will have tapped your feet, put your arms in the air, gyrated and bum-slapped to many of these tunes at your favourite nightclubs in London. We're taking a trip down "Oh, yeah!" lane today with seven hot London nightclub classic tunes.
1. Eric Prydz, Call on Me
If you don’t recognize the name of this one, and you don’t even recognize the song once you hear it, then you'll certainly recognize the filmclip! The gym instructor and his ever-faithful student do exercise moves that get them very sweaty … but unfortunately the rest of the chorus never does get sung.

2. Silosonic -- Something
This has been remixed by both Soul Corporation and Buzz Kitchen. It's pot luck what you'll hear at your fave London nightclub -- the Buzz Kitchen one is a personal favourite!

3. Faithless -- Insomnia
One of the most recognizable club tunes EVER, IN HISTORY, Faithless's Insomnia is a tune that's spine-tingling, spooky and very easy to sing along to ...especially considering no-one can hear you.

4. Bananarama -- Move In My Direction
Their first top 40 hit in twelve years ... critics blasted it, but we still danced to it. "It's been seven days since my last confession, and I really don't know where to begin ..."

5. Uniting Nations -- You & Me
If you recognize this tune off the Huge Club Tunes disc sold on Amazon, you might actually know the band as Unitying Nations. Doesn't make sense, though, does it? This is a more recent offering from a relatively new band for London nightclub goers.

6. Armand Van Helden -- When The Lights Go Down
Who doesn’t love a bit of Armand at their fave club in London? Nobody! When the Lights Go Down charted well, but did better on the dancefloors.

7. Gadjo -- So Many Times
Another one your friends are probably making fun of you for if you've been quoting the artist name as it appears on Amazon ... as Gadgo! This tune starts slow, but that's just for anticipation ... and so you get a chance to shout to your mates.
